Privacy Policy

Effective date: April 8, 2026

The short version: Sip does not collect, store, or transmit any personal data. Everything stays on your device. We have no servers, no analytics, and no way to see your information.

What data Sip stores

Sip stores your hydration logs, goals, settings, streaks, and achievement progress locally on your device using AsyncStorage. This data never leaves your phone.

  • Daily water intake entries (amounts and timestamps)
  • Your daily hydration goal
  • Streak and achievement progress
  • Cup size preferences and unit settings
  • Purchase status (premium unlock)

What we do NOT collect

Sip does not collect or have access to:

  • Your name, email, or any account information
  • Location data
  • Device identifiers or fingerprints
  • Usage analytics or behavioral data
  • Health or fitness data from HealthKit or Google Fit
  • Any data from other apps on your device

No accounts required

Sip does not require you to create an account or sign in. There is no registration, no email collection, and no social login.

No analytics or tracking

Sip does not include any analytics SDKs, crash reporters, or third-party tracking tools. We do not use cookies, pixels, or any form of user tracking.

In-app purchases

Sip offers an optional lifetime premium unlock through Apple's App Store (StoreKit) and Google Play Billing. These transactions are processed entirely by Apple or Google. We do not receive or store any payment information, credit card numbers, or billing details.

Your purchase status is stored locally on your device. Restoring purchases uses Apple's or Google's built-in receipt validation — no data is sent to any server we operate.

No cloud or server

Sip has no backend, no cloud storage, and no servers. We do not operate any infrastructure that receives data from the app. Your hydration data exists only on your device.

Data deletion

You can delete all your data at any time from the Settings screen within the app using the “Reset All Data” option. Alternatively, uninstalling the app removes all stored data from your device.

Children's privacy

Sip does not knowingly collect any personal information from children. Since no data is collected from any user, Sip is safe for users of all ages.

Changes to this policy

If we make changes to this privacy policy, we will update this page with the new effective date. Since Sip collects no data, any future changes are unlikely to impact your privacy.
